ROSES AND RAINBOWS
RECOMMENDATIONS...
by James F. Twyman This book was an easy read. I also found some of the references to the bible interesting. It is an interesting concept. I intend on checking some of his other material out in future. There is a wide variety of books, films, music and meditation.
by Mitch Albom Here is an author that never ceases to amaze. His style of writing i unique, bringing you into his story as he spins out lessons on life. In this book h is aked to write a eulogy. The book takes you on his journey of finding faith and purpose, with remarkable insights. It is a heart-warming story which resonates with everyone.
by John Edward Fabulous insight into "the other side". I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. From the transcripts of some of his readings, the explanation of how he does his readings, to the insights of lfe and the other side, John Edward validates what most people are searching for. This would be the answer, - that there is life after death. He sells out audiences all over the globe, and has embraced his gift for the good of mankind.
by Deepak Chopra. In this book, one of many which Deepak has written, he discusses our true nature and how we can achieve the best that life has to offer. He is very frank about these so called "laws", and whe you read through the book, they all resonte with you, while you are gaining understandng. The book is easy to follow and he summarizes each chapter by highlighting the key points.
by Randy Pausch A professor at Carnegie Mellon was asked to give a lecture. It was his last lecture because he was dying. He tackles the question, "If you knew you were dying, what would you have to say? What would you want to leave as your legacy?" Somewhat a similar theme as Tuedays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom. Tremendous thought went into this well-written expanded narrative of his famous last lecture. R.I.P. Randy Pausch.
by Sonia Ricotti An easy-to-read book that is to the point. Sonia gives you the resources you need to bounce back when life gets you down. These life lessons are shared from her own personal experiences, and are explained simply. Very inspiring and would be an asset for anyone to read.
by Geneen Roth This was a refreshing look at the problem many people face when they have a poor relationship with food. I thought it very insightful, and a huge eye-opener into some of the root causes of my own food issues. She goes into depth about your relationship with food, your core beliefs, and how to make changes. Good read.
by Gregg Braden This is a 4 CD set that kept me listening with my earphones to hear his every word. His explanation of how everything is cyclical in nature, from the beginning of time, to the narration of how this fractal time relates to our world as we know it. Fascinating and informative, Gregg speaks through his knowledge, of past, present and future.
by Rhonda Byrne There was a movie based on this book. This book covers the basic principles of the Law of Attraction, as told through the eyes of the author and many other well-known contributors. It is an interesting read and very insightful. I think this is one of the best concepts to get your mind around in the 21st century - that you can manifest anything you desire for yourself.
by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Amy Newmark An array of various stories, accounts of connections with the "other side." Some of the stories are so riveting, while others pull at your heart-strings, but all give us hope that there is life after death. I have looked for signs and messages from beyond and believe too, that love doesn't die at death. Another fabulous bunch of stories from Chicken Soup for the Soul.
by His Holiness the Dalai Lama Translated and Edited by Jeffrey Hopkins, Ph.D. This book is about peace. Everything to do with the Dalai Lama is about peace. He is a peace ambassador for the world. His wisdom is unique and we are privileged that he shares it with us. He is right about everything he says. It is maybe a little hard to get at, but once you understand the concept, it all makes perfect sense. As I read the book I remembered hearing his laughter, and it made me smile.
by Sonia Ricotti This is the Law of Attraction for dummies version. She gets right down to the basic principles and it is well done. I thought this would make a good book for those who don't have too much time. This is like a workbook for those who wish to go over the important points. Thanks Sonia.
